Mr. Harris was born Aug. 19, 1928, at Traphill, N.C. He was a retired bookkeeper and general manager for Grain Belt Supply. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 60, Isis Shrine Temple, 32 Scottish Rite and University United Methodist Church, all of Salina. He also was a member of 301st Bomb Group of the U.S. Air Force and served as technical sergeant during the Korean War.

Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Harris of Salina and Sharolyn Harris of Rose Hill; two brothers, Boyd and Buddy, both of North Carolina; a half brother, Raymond of North Carolina; seven sisters, Mrytle McGrady, Savannah Callicutt, Ruby Robinson, Peggy Perry, Anne Speicher, Carol Harris and Mary Lee Langley, all of North Carolina; a half sister, Ila Cockerham of North Carolina; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
