Mr. Ott was born Dec. 13, 1914, in Gypsum. He was owner-operator of the Carlton Garage for 49 years.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of the home; four sons, Melvin of Scott City, Howard of Apollo, Pa., Jim of Castle Rock, Colo., and Richard of Lindsborg; four daughters, Roberta Watts of Great Bend, Maxine Floyd of Kansas City, Kan., Jeanne Roberts of Springfield, Mo., and Janice Ott of Lawrence; a brother, Wayne of Newton; a sister, Erma Morris of Kipp; and nine grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Gypsum. Burial will be in Gypsum Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Karber Gillum Funeral Home, 902 Maple, Gypsum 67488, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
