Wilmer George "Bill" Peterman
May 15, 1923 - November 21, 2003

Wilmer George "Bill" Peterman, 80, Salina, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003.

Mr. Peterman was born May 15, 1923, in rural Lincoln County to George Wilhelm and Frieda Maria (Dunmeier) Peterman. He was a carpenter and cabinet builder in Lincoln and Salina.

He married Peggy Marilyn Parker on July 18, 1948, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Lincoln County.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina.

He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Allen Peterman; his parents; and a brother, LaVernon William Peterman.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy of the home; three sons, William and wife Kay of Olathe, Robert of Fort Collins, Colo., and Thomas and wife Regina of Merriam; two sisters, Elfrieda Schneider of Lucas and Ruth Modrow of Lincoln; a grandson, Christopher Peterman; and a stepgrandson, Jeffrey Brown.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina, the Revs. Robert Schaedel and Charles Adams officiating. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lincoln County.

Memorials may be made to Kitchen Remodeling Fund at Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday.
