Clarence C. "Walt" Walker
October 25, 1929 - November 18, 2003

CULVER -- Clarence C. "Walt" Walker, 74, Culver, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003.

Mr. Walker was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Hartford, Conn. He came to Salina in 1977. He retired from the Air Force after 22 years, then worked for Tony's until retirement. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW and AMVETS. He was active in American Legion baseball, running the concessions at Dean Evans Stadium for many years.

He married Wilma Capell on May 25, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma of Culver; four sons, Clarence "Butch" Walker Jr. of Salina, Richard L. Jackson of Culver, Kenneth Jackson of Dallas and Earl Jackson of Willington, Conn.; four daughters, Judy A. Lucero of Trinidad, Colo., Melody McKenna of Gypsum, Mary Laflamme of Salina and Tootie Walker of Culver; three brothers, Mervin Walker of Culver, Arthur Webb of Minneapolis and Alfred Walker of Middlefield, Conn.; a sister, Dorris Stafford of Detroit, Mich.; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and before the service Saturday at the mortuary.
