Marvin A. "Whitey" Williams

Marvin A. "Whitey" Williams, 70, Salina, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003.

Mr. Williams was born Oct. 30, 1933, in Salina. He married the former Loretta Marie Blehm on Dec. 6, 1952, in Salina. He worked for ADM Milling for 38 years, part time as a driver for Conklin Motors and dealt in antiques and rare coins. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Helen Rowland Williams; a grandson, Kevin Voll in 1998; five brothers, Vance, Bill, Charles, Cleaton and Phill; and two sisters, Maxine Lorenz and June Inscho.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta of the home; two sons, Marvin Jr. and Randy and spouse Dana, all of Salina; a daughter, Pat Williams and special friend Ron Frederick of Salina; two brothers, Tom Williams and spouse Marilyn of Vancouver, Wash, and Jim Williams of Des Moines, Iowa; sister Edith Ingram of Salina; a special sister-in-law, Bernice Pickrell of Salina; and two grandchildren, Heather and Michelle Williams of Salina.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salina, the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran and Hospice of Salina, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
