Mr. Biegler was born October 31, 1922, at Leed, S.D. He was a geologist. He retired in 1988, after 38 years in various areas of the geology profession.

He was a life member of Kansas State University Alumni Association. He served on the K-State University Geology Advisory Council, of which he was a charter member.

He was an Army Air Force Veteran of World War II.

His hobbies included Boy Scouts, antique vehicle restoration and trout fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Louise of Salina; three sons, Craig of Florida, Steve of Manhattan and Chris of Alabama; a brother, Warren; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
