Mrs. Bloom was born Barbara V. Boyd on Feb. 21, 1937, in Osborne. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Chapter DL of the PEO and First Presbyterian Church. She was an active supporter of First Tee, Salina, and the LPGA. She married Kay C. Bloom on May 2, 1981, at First Presbyterian Church, Salina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Gloria Patee Boyd.

Survivors include her husband, Kay, of Salina; three sons, Michael Parr of Loveland, Colo., Donn Parr of Wichita and Eric Bloom of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Cheri Parr of Salina, Pamela Edwards of Hutchinson and Patricia Tanner of Eden Prairie, Minn.; a brother, Ernie Boyd of Spring, Texas; and 17 grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Salina, the Rev. Thomas P. Reid officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, First Tee of Salina or Ashby House of Salina.
