Mr. Bruhl was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Salina. He was a gas meter shop foreman for Kansas Power and Light in Salina for more than 42 years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce, in 1994; and a daughter Kay Barnett in 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly of the home; a son, Dallas and his wife, Debbie, of Salina; a son-in-law, Art Barnett of Lindsborg; a stepson, Richard and his wife, Milly Mattison, of Lee Summit, Mo.; four stepdaughters, Sandra and her husband, John Arthur, of Roland, Iowa, Linda and her husband, Johnny Reyes, of Salina, Cheryl and her husband, Herb Horstman, of Kiefer, Okla., and Teresa and her husband, Abel Perez, of Salina; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Cross United Methodist, Salina. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Niles.
