Mr. Caldwell was born May 31, 1926, in Salina. He was a retired farmer, from near Culver and a realtor working in farm real estate for Olmi and Associates in Salina.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Bart Kline in 1986.

Survivors include his wife, Florence, of Salina; a son, Ray Kline of Salina; a daughter, Lovina Jordan of Belle Plain; two sisters, Helen Hersh of Halstead and Virginia Hall of Lafayette, Ind.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Church of the Cross United Methodist, 1600 Rush, Salina. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, northwest of Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice.
