Daniel R. "Danny" Camarena was born November 1, 1945 in Salina, KS. The first child of Cecil & Isabel Camarena. He passed away on May 31, 2004 after a short illness with his family by his side. He was loved and will be missed by his sister Ann Korinek of Lyons, KS and his brothers John, Gene, and Carlos all of Wichita, KS. Danny will be remembered by the way he celebrated life. The way he greeted each day with laughter, dancing, and singing. The love and caring he shared with all his nieces and nephews. The kindness and respect he showed to everyone he met. Danny is survived by his three brothers and sister, his nephews Jason, Chase, and Dominick his nieces, LeAnne, Kristi, Gena, Potsie and Olivia, his grand nieces Aubrey and Bailey, and his many cousins throughout Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Hawaii and many other states. To our brother, uncle, cousin and friend may you rest in peace with the knowledge that you left this world a better place for having shared your life with all of us. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. |
