GYPSUM, KS -- Maggie L. Cooley, 87, Gypsum, died Saturday, June 12, 2004. Mrs. Cooley was born Maggie Lovina Yoder on May 26, 1917, in Jet, Okla. She had farmed many years with her husband and son in the Gypsum area and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Friendly Neighbors Club, the Needle Craft Club, the Ladies Lunch Club and the Pinochle Club, all of Gypsum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy in 1989; a brother, Cline Yoder in 1995; and a sister Lula Schuelke in 1993. She is survived by two sons, Dennis and wife Jean of Gypsum and Keith of Hutchinson; a daughter, Nadine and husband Darwin Henry of Salina; two sisters, Edith Cline of Hutchinson and Maude Coryell of Olympia, Wash.; two brothers, Rolland Yoder of Kalona, Iowa and Allen Yoder of Wellman, Iowa; five grandchildren, Sean and wife Shelly Tubal, Tim Haines, Ron and wife Regina Henry, Marc Henry and Josie Henry; and four great-grandchildren, Connor and Lauren Tubal and Tyler and Jessica Henry. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Cemetery, Gypsum. Memorials may be made to the Gypsum First Responders, Gypsum. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. |
