Mr. Cruse was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Dodge City. He was a retired dentist. He was a graduate of the University of Kansas. He was a member of Elks Club, American Dental Association, Salina Country Club, Presbyterian Church and Survivors of Pearl Harbor. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Club. He was a Navy lieutenant in World War II for four years. His hobbies included golf, cards and horses.

He married Twila Matthews on Feb. 18, 1966.

Survivors include his wife, Twila of the home; two sons, Larry of Texas and Scott of California; two daughters, Sheryl Burnett and Leslie Sauls, both of Texas; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
