Mr. Edgington was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Decatur County. He was in aircraft avionics and had worked for Boeing, Cessna and the U.S. Army at Marshall Field, Fort Riley. He had been a delivery man for NAPA and a security guard for Exide Technologies (Battery), Salina. He enjoyed yard work, flower gardening and sports, especially University of Kansas Jayhawk basketball and Kansas State University Wildcat and Kansas City Chiefs football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Edna Edgington; and two brothers, Allen and Ivan.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella, of Salina; a son, Jim of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Diana Booze and husband John of Lewisville, Texas, and Vicky Melton and husband Dean of Turon; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hoxie Cemetery.
