Loraine Gorman, 86, Salina, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004. Mrs. Gorman was born Loraine Hecker on June 12, 1918, in Park. She was an optical dispenser for Duffens Optical Co., Salina, for four years and then for Dr. Frank Cultron for 28 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ted Plucinski; and her second husband, Russell A. Gorman, in 1995. Survivors include a son, Barry Plucinski and wife Margie of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepson, Mike Gorman of Lenexa; two stepdaughters, Mary Ann Terrell of Dallas and Patty Nelson of Federal Way, Wash.; two brothers, Luke Hecker of Denver and Gregory Hecker of Salina; a sister, Sally Rogers of Salina; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 17 stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Salina, the Rev. Steve Heina officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. A vigil service will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart High School, Salina. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. |
