Mrs. Gorrell was born Alexine Bernice Lambert of June 9, 1921, in Clyde. She was an owner and partner in business with her husband, operating the Topliff Truckline, Diamond Transfer and Storage and Gorrell Rentals, all of Salina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Fritz” Gorrell, in 1992; and a daughter, Joyce Becker, in 1990.

Survivors include two sons, Teryl of Denver and Gary of Salina; two daughters, Darlene Wilcox of Groves, Texas, and Gloria Smith of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Leo Lambert of Gravette, Ark., 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
