| M. Marie Gruenthal | May 10, 1915 - June 28, 2004 |
M. Marie Gruenthal, 89, Salina, died Monday, June 28, 2004. Mrs. Gruenthal was born Margaret Marie Butler on May 10, 1915, in Glasco, the daughter of Richard H. Butler and the former Margaret G. Hurley. She was a homemaker and sales clerk for Sears Ladies Fashions Department, retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Mary's Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Guild, St. Mary's Sewing Circle, St. John's Hospital Auxiliary and American Association of Retired Persons. She married Albert George Gruenthal on April 1, 1940, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glasco. Survivors include her husband, Albert of Salina; two daughters, Mary Mullen and husband Don of Salina and Linda Gruenthal of Denver; and a granddaughter, Christina Mullen of Salina. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Revs. Kerry Ninemire and Armand Gerard officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Glasco Catholic Cemetery. A vigil will be at 5 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Mary's Grade School. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. |
