Mr. Harrison was born September 5, 1935, in Philadelphia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne, in 1998.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph L. Harrison II and wife Jill S. of Dallas and Jeffrey E. Harrison and wife Tammy Peet of Salina; six grandchildren, Tianta Nicole and Joseph L. Harrison III, both of Dallas, and William Zachary, Ian Thomas, Isaiah Joseph and Janessa Yvone Harrison, all of Salina; and a sister, Mary Lou Williams of Philadelphia.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Quayle United Methodist Church, Salina. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. in Ft. Riley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
