Richard C. "Dick" Hurley
March 20, 1940 - July 21, 2004

Richard C. "Dick" Hurley, 64, Salina, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004.

Mr. Hurley was born March 20, 1940, in Hinsdale, N.J. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1965. He joined the Saline County Sheriff's Department, serving more than 20 years, and was the captain of the detectives unit. He worked at the Salina Credit Bureau for more than nine years, serving as the manager for several years. He was a member of the Salina Elks Lodge, the Masonic Blue Lodge and the Isis Shrine, all of Salina.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara A. of the home; two daughters, Debbie Rahe and husband Tim of Salina and Brandy Quinn and husband John of Evans, Colo; and three grandchildren, Colby Lemons and Jack and Cameron Quinn.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Robert Schaedel officiating. Inurnment will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1432, Salina.

Memorials are suggested to the Richard Hurley Grandchildren Educational Fund, in care of the mortuary.

There will be no visitation.
