Mr. Ingles was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He was an installer for New York Bell, later known as Lucent, for more than 39 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Bell, in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey M. and his wife, Sherry, of Salina; a daughter, Susan Jane and her husband, William Droege, of Germantown, N.Y.; and two grandsons, Tad and Trevor Ingles.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Salina. A second service will be Monday in Germantown. Burial will be in Chevoit Cemetery, Germantown.
