Ruth J. Larson
September 11, 1917 - July 18, 2004

LINDSBORG -- Ruth J. Larson, 86, Lindsborg, died Sunday, July 18, 2004.

Mrs. Larson was born Ruth Marian Jaeger on Sept. 11, 1917, in Viroqua, Wis. She was a homemaker. She lived in Arvada, Colo., from 1957 until 1983, where she was a charter member of King of Glory Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school, belonged to the church sewing circle and was a member of ELCW. She moved to Salina in 1983, where she belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church, WELCA and NARFE. She married Roy G. Larson on Oct. 26, 1946, in Unity Lutheran Church, Chicago. He died in March 2000.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph F. Jaeger and the former Minnie Blihovde.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Yosai and husband John of Salina; two grandchildren, Audrey and Erin Yosai of Salina; two brothers, Earl and Roger Jaeger of Westby, Wis.; and three sisters, Irene Munson of Westby and Helen Phillipps and Ida Mae Peterson, both of LaCrosse, Wis.

A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Kent Happel officiating. Burial will be in Coon-Prairie Cemetery, Westby.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Salina or Bethany Home of Lindsborg.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
