Mrs. Lewis was born Vera J. Huber on August 1, 1933, near Ames. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorie McClintock, in 1985.

Survivors include her husband, Donald J. of Salina; a son, Donald J. Jr. of Salina; two daughters, Cindy Acheson of Palco and Janice Hawpe of Hays; three brothers, Frank Huber, Walter Huber and Bob Huber, all of Concordia; two sisters, Arvilla Hanson of Littleton, CO, and Marylin Appleby of Salina; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. A private inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde.
