Mrs. Lewis was born Helen Malinda Otte on June 9, 1921, in Westfall, Kan. She was a retired clerk for the civil service.

Her husband, Ed, died in 2002.

Survivors include a son, Roger White of Augusta, Ga.; a daughter, Kathy Gerhart of Riverview; a brother, Erwin Otte of Westfall; two sisters, Lorna Brown of Salina, Kan., and Florine Traugott of Canton, Ohio; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The body was cremated.
