Mrs. Lorenson was born Leah M. Ehrets on Nov. 15, 1918, in Boston. She was the bookkeeper for the family business, Lorenson Welding and Machine Co. in Salina, for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Lorenson Sr., on April 27, 2004; and a son, James H. Lorenson Jr., in 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Linden and William, both of Salina; two daughters, Kim Lorenson of Salina and Donna Lorenson of Athens, N.Y.; a brother, Larry Ehrets of Ashburnham, Mass.; a sister, Pearl Sawyer of Pokuoson, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
