Mrs. Markham was born to Monroe Brown and Luella Knowles on August 8, 1931 in Salina. She worked for St. John's Hospital retiring after 18 years. She was a life member of the American Legion, VFW, and Eagles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Avis Scriven and Eva Crook. She was a life member of the American Legion, VFW, and Eagles.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Markham of Salina; two sons, Ron and Dee Markham, both of Salina; two daughters, Dyanna Wright and Carolyn Schneider, both of Salina; one brother, John Province of Salina; one sister, Emma Crook of Salina; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2004 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the mortuary.
