Lois L. McKnight, 76, Salina, died Friday, November 19, 2004. Mrs. McKnight was born Lois L. Bourne on July 14, 1928, in Delphos. She was a transportation clerk for the U.S. Civil Service at Fort Riley. She was a graduate of Brown Mackie College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Pathfinders Sunday School Class and a former member of Circle No. 5 at the church. She was a member of R.S.V.P. and served as a foster grandparent at Schilling and Oakdale Elementary Schools. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael McKnight; and three brothers, Claude Bourne, Clarence Bourne and Daniel Bourne. Survivors include four daughters, Lori L. Cackler of Lawrence and Bonnie McKnight, Lola Mattison and Judy McKnight, all of Salina; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Salina, the Rev. Troy Bowers officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Oakdale School for kindergarten books or Gideon Bibles. There will be no visitation. Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, is handling arrangements. |
