Rachel Emma Morrison, 97, Salina, died Sunday, September 26, 2004. Mrs. Morrison was born Rachel Emma Bell on Aug. 21, 1907, to John Nelson Bell and Rachel Emma Crowther on the family farm east of New Cambria. She was the eighth child of that union. She was a homemaker, farm wife, 4-H leader, EHU and sewing club member. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1984; two sons, Leslie Clark in 1959 and Donald Eugene in 2000; her parents; four brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include a son, Harold Morrison and wife Ernestine of Salina; a daughter-in-law, Judy Morrison of Salina; five grandchildren, Kim Norwood and husband Fred and Cynthia Morrison-Guipre, all of Salina, Marc Morrison and wife Karen of Wichita, Teri Ann Johnson and husband Michael of Memphis, Tenn., and Tamara Savage and husband Jared of Farlington; and five great-grandchildren, Brandon Norwood and wife Amanda, Hunter Clark-Guipre and Daylin Guipre, all of Salina, and Daniel Morrison and Michael Morrison, both of Wichita. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salina, the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or the church. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. |
