John H. Moshier Sr.
December 27, 1920 - January 26, 2004

John H. Moshier Sr., 83, Salina, died Monday, January 26, 2004.

Mr. Moshier was born December 27, 1920, at Manhattan. He was an inspector for the Kansas State Department of Food and Health.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Woodcock Moshier in 1994; a grandson, Tony Moshier in 1963; and his parents, George L. Moshier and the former Elsie Mae Hanlin.

Survivors include two sons, Dusty and wife Wendy of Salina and Hutch and wife Sandy of Kansas City, KS; four brothers, Leland of Manhattan, Walt of Tucson, AZ, Bill of Texas and Dennis of Spain; four sisters, Mary Lou Little of Manhattan, Helen Knapp of Topeka, Elsie Jean Hobbs of Augusta, GA, and Alice Ruth Booth of California; nine grandchildren, Sydney Moshier of Tulsa, OK, Griff Moshier of Lawrence, John Moshier of Great Bend, Denise Reboul of Hutchinson, and James Moshier, Matt Moshier, Katie Moshier, Melissa Pittman and Amanda Moshier, all of Kansas City, KS; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church, Salina, the Rev. Tom Reid officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Community Foundation Youth Baseball Fund, Salina.

Visitation will be from noon to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
