Mr. Phillips was born October 15, 1910, in Exline, MO. He worked for the city of Salina for 35 years, retiring as the flood control supervisor in 1974.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Luvena Margaret Phillips in 1988; and a daughter, Hazel Kamp in 1994.

Survivors include his son, Bob Phillips of Salina; a sister, Alice Mann of Iowa; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Inurnment will follow in the Bennington Cemetery.
