Walter Joseph Schneider, 88, Salina, died Monday, June 28, 2004. Mr. Schneider was born May 10, 1916, in Hunter. He was a truck driver for the city of Salina. A son, Virgil, died in 2000. Survivors include two sons, Vernon of New Cambria and Robert of Navarre; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m Friday in Greenwood Union Cemetery, Hunter. Memorials may be made to Shalimar Health Center or Trinity Lutheran Church, both of Salina. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. |
