Clarence H. Scheidt, 74, Salina, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004.

Mr. Scheidt was born April 21, 1930, in Salina. He owned and operated Custom Auto Sales and Custom Waterbeds in Salina for many years. He also had owned and operated Salina Van and Storage, an affiliate of King Van Lines, in Salina. He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Knights of Columbus and Eagles Lodge of Salina.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gerry, in 1998; and two sons, Charles H. in 1987 and Casey J. in 1980.

Survivors include a son, Crandell of Salina; seven daughters, Christine Koleber of Plano, Texas, Caren Mongeau of Anchorage, Alaska, Carol Emmons of Montgomery, Texas, Coral Gasch and Callie Bast, both of Pleasanton, Texas, Cindy Jordan of Odessa, Texas, and Candy Schulte of Jourdanton, Texas; two brothers, Gary "Duke" of Abilene and Dale of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a sister, Nancy Walker of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Mary Lou Scheidt of Pleasanton, Texas.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil and rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
