Mr. Schaeffer was born July 14, 1940, in Salina. He was a casino manager in Las Vegas.

Survivors include his son, Phillip P.; two brothers, Donald Schaeffer and Roy Hayden, both of Salina; and three sisters, Tulsa Green of Olathe, Greta Bell of Abilene and Cheryl Palmer of Salina.

A memorial service will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the home of Donald Schaeffer, 1001 N. 10th, Salina 67401.
