Mrs. Shelton was born Glorine J. Kuntz on Nov. 24, 1927, in Bushton. She married Richard Shelton on Sept. 14, 1952, at Salina First United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Bushton High School. She was a member of the League of Women Voters, holding offices at local and state level, and Salina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1432 Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and an insurance agent, operating Salina Insurance Agency with her husband, Dick, until 1999.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Fossinger, in 2003; and her parents, Milton V. and Hanna Haferman Kuntz.

Survivors include her husband, Dick of Salina; a son, Richard E. of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Margaret Gillespie of Lyons; and a granddaughter, Lynnsey Shelton of Salina.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
