John Raymond Show Sr., 80, Salina, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004. Mr. Show was born May 25, 1923, at Jeannette, Pa. He served in World War II in the Army Air Forces, where he earned the rank of sergeant. He was a machinist and worked for the City of Salina in the Parks and Recreation Department, retiring in 1986. Survivors include a special friend, Bonnie Jean Fuller of Salina; a son, John R. Show Jr. and wife Lois of Salina; two daughters, Connie Yates and Joyce Show, both of Salina; a brother, Donald of Stanton, Pa.; two sisters, Mildred Powell of Greensburg, Pa., and Helen Morrah of Jeannette; six grandchildren, Debra Cooper, Ronald Freeman, Edward M. Zimmerman Jr., Teresa Zimmerman, Heavenly McQuillan and Jathan Show; and 10 great-grandchildren, Wayne M. Zimmerman, Kirtistan Zimmerman, Jordan Zimmerman, Collin Zimmerman, Krystal Hendrix, Jesse Freeman, Ryan Cooper, Shiann McQuillan, Austin McQuillan and Bailey McQuillan. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Temple Cemetery, near Gypsum. Memorials may be made to Southeast of Saline Education Foundation or the Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center, Salina. |
