Mr. Stevens was born July 4, 1936 at Hutchinson, KS. He was the Founder, Owner and President of Stevens Contractors Inc. of Salina, KS. until his death.

He is preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Joanne Stevens in 1959.

He is survived by his wife, Debra L. of the home; one son, Mathew M. Stevens of Scottsdale, AZ; two Daughters, Elizabeth C. S. McGhee of Oxford MI, and Catherine Gordon of Shawnee Mission, KS; one step son, Chris Martin of Springfield, MO; one brother, Michael of St. Augistine, FL; one sister, Dorothy Connor of Overland Park, KS; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A private memorial service will be held. A reception for friends will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at the St. Johns Military School-Stevens Center, Salina, KS.

Inurnment will be at St. Johns Military School Columbarium.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the St. John's Military School Endowment or to the Greater Salina Community Foundation.

There will be no Visitation.
