Mrs. Stephenson was born Geraldine Schoen on May 3, 1926, in Jewell County. She was a homemaker. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the bell choir and served as treasurer of UMW Circle 3. She married Kenneth C. Stephenson on Aug. 8, 1948, at First Baptist Church, Cawker City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Eldon Schoen and the former Sinnie Mae Folger.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Salina; a son, David K. Stephenson and wife Bonni of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; two daughters, Judy L. Hamilton and husband Bill Wiecek of Syracuse, N.Y., and Nancy M. Steele of Merriam; a brother, Walter Schoen and wife Jan of Cawker City; and three grandchildren, Shawn Hamilton and wife Meridith of Louisville, Ky., Carly Steele of Long Beach, Calif., and Matt Steele of Merriam.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Troy Bowers officiating. Inurnment will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
