Mrs. Walters was born to Ott Newman and Flo Newman (Dickey) on April 23, 1919 in Culver, KS. She was a wrapper at Week's Grocery for 40 years.

She is survived by one son, Terry Walters of Salina; three daughters, Audrey Ragland of Salina, Rita Geiger of Soperton, GA, and Carolyn Neubauer of Grantville, KS; one sister, Madeline King of Salina; eleven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 15 step great-grandchildren, ten great great-grandchildren, and two step great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Rev. Nancy Crowl will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Bennington Cemetery.
