Mr. Ade was born Nov. 5, 1923, in rural Dickinson County. He was a rancher and stockman in the Carlton area.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; three sons, Larry of Derby, Steve of Salina and Rod of Carlton; three brothers, Emanuel of Newton, Ezra of Carlton and Nathan of Gypsum; a sister, Gladys Martin of Emporia; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Church, Gypsum. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
