Mrs. Allen was born Esther Harriette Serriere on Nov. 24, 1923, in Blackwell, Okla. She worked in food service for 36 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Sarah (Brubaker) Serriere; and three brothers, Fred, George and Ed Serriere.

Survivors include four sons, Merle Rowan and wife Linda of Salina, Mike Rowan of Cranford, N.J., Frank Hill of Harriman, Tenn., and Charles Hill of El Dorado; two daughters, Sharon Hill Gonzales and husband Alex and Paulette Hill Holzhauser and husband Don, all of Wichita; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, Frank Hill officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, New Cambria. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.
