She graduated from Culver High School and attended the Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was a member of the Culver United Methodist Church.

On February 24, 1933 she was united in marriage to Fred David Bell of Culver. They moved to a farm west of Culver where they spent their entire married life farming. To this union was born one daughter, Loretta Mae Coleman.

Mrs. Bell loved her family, her home, and the land, and was often seen helping in the fields with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1980, also her parents, one infant brother, James Neon and one sister, Leta Lucille Norris.

She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Coleman of Hutchinson; one granddaughter, Sylvia Diane Owen and her husband Thomas Owen of Hutchinson, Kansas; two sisters, Marjorie Faye Schur of Salina, and Dorothy Marie Schur of Culver, Kansas.

The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, July 30, 2005 at Ryan Mortuary with Rev. Jeff Mitzler officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Culver, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Culver Methodist Church.
