Mr. Bookout was born June 25, 1956, in Oklahoma City. He was a fuel hand at Bosselman’s Travel Center, Salina.

Survivors include his wife, Cheri, of the home; a son, C.J. Bookout of Ellinwood; a daughter, Jennifer Bookout of Terra Haute, Ind.; two stepsons, Joseph and Jacob Burkholder, both of Salina; a stepdaughter, Sylvia Burkholder of Salina; three brothers, Carl, Raymond and Larry; two sisters, Maxine and Shirley; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Cremation will follow the service.

Memorials may be made to the Choctaw Nation.
