Mr. Bull was born April 16, 1911, in Wichita. He worked for 39 years for Standard Oil Co., retiring as a territory manager in 1972. He then owned and operated The Clock Shop, Salina, for 12 years.

He married Dorothy O. Moss on July 18, 1936, in Hutchinson and graduated from Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Junior College.

He was a former mayor of Salina, serving two terms. He also was past president of the Rotary Club, past president of the Salina Community Theatre, past president and board member for 30 years of Central Kansas Mental Health Association, chairman of the Salina Community Chest, chairman of the Smoky Hill River Development and a member of First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dr. Robert W. Bull, in 2003.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Salina; a daughter, Barbara Kern of Salina; two grandchildren, Jason Kern of Salina and Nicole Edmiston of Kansas City, Mo.; and a great-grandson, Kelton Kern of Salina.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Salina, with the Rev. Troy Bowers officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church, Presbyterian Manor, Salina, Central Kansas Mental Health Center or Rotary Club of Salina.
