Juliette M. Claus

Juliette M. Claus, 89, Salina, died Thursday, January 6, 2005.

Mrs. Claus was born Juliette M. Oberg on April 5, 1915, in Hedville. She was a homemaker, worked as a stenographer for Social Rehabilitation Services and co-owned Panjo’s Pizza. She belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina; The Anna Group of the church; ELCA; Lady Elks No. 718; AARP; Salina Regional Health Center Partners; and Department of Social & Rehabilitation Services Retirees Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, in 1997; two brothers, Ernest Oberg and Estrell Oberg; and a sister, Mildred Oberg.

Survivors include a son, David and wife Becky of Manhattan; a daughter, Carol Ann Sloo and husband Dr. Milo Sloo of Salina; and two grandchildren, Laurie Orosco of San Francisco and Lisa Claus of Washington, D.C.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or Salina Presbyterian Manor.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, and prior to service time Monday at the church.
