Mrs. Engstrom was born Bessie Louise Hahn on Dec. 22, 1931, in Randolph. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Jr., of Salina; two sons, Joe III and wife Kristy and Jeff and wife Delores, all of Salina; two daughters, Jody Highsmith and husband Tom and Jerry Ann Goding and husband Roy, all of Salina; 10 grandchildren, Tom Highsmith Jr. and wife Pat, Mike Highsmith and wife Stephanie, Joe Engstrom IV, Heidi Engstrom, Travis Engstrom, Brent Engstrom, Brandon Engstrom, Candi McCourt, Dixie Nicholson and husband Jay and Tiffany Engstrom; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Elva Bretton, Alan Hahn, Steven Hahn, Lorna Thayer, Leann Scott and Clydene Widener; and three foster daughters, Melodi Zimmerman, Starr Pugh and Dawn Cairns.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

There will be no visitation.
