Mr. Gay was born Feb. 28, 1957, in Dover, Del. He was a tech sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years. He also was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Glendale for nine years.

His mother, Lois T. Gay, died Sept. 12, 2005.

Survivors include his father, Orlanda Gay, of Salina, Kan.; a brother, Michael Gay of Manhattan, Kan.; and two sisters, Yolanda Gay of Topeka, Kan., and Michelle Gay of Irving, Texas.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Visitation will be prior to the service Saturday at the church.
