Mrs. Gonzales was born Pauline Torrez on June 29, 1913, in Jalisco, Guadalajara, Mexico. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel M.; and a daughter, Mary Ellen Moore.

Survivors include six sons, Francis “Stan” and John S., both of Salina, Paul S. of Conyers, Ga., Peter E. of Grand Rapids, Mich., Joseph T. of Wichita, and Robert S. of Lowell, Mich.; a daughter, Pauline “Bea” Rodriguez of Salina; two brothers, Father Basil Torrez of Collyer and Joseph Torrez of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Margaret Cowin of San Francisco, Elodia Camarena of Hayward, Calif., and Diann Torrez of San Jose, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Kanopolis. Burial will be in Kanopolis Cemetery.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
