Mrs. Irwin was born Linda Armstrong on April 24, 1944, in Larned. She was a homemaker and a certified nursing assistant at Alterra Sterling House, 2251 East Crawford, Salina.

Survivors include her husband, Earl "Sandy," of the home; two daughters, Melinda Nitsch and husband Darrell and Dedra Francis and husband Dirk, all of Salina; her mother, Elaine Armstrong, of Salina; three brothers, Jim and wife Nancy of Herington, Jerry and wife Glenda of Ellsworth and Dick and wife Jenny of Chandler, Ariz.; three sisters, Barb Lipe and husband Bud and Debbie Cox and husband Bill, all of Salina, and Judy Hudson and husband Bob of Kanopolis; and four grandchildren, Sara Nitsch and Emily, Elizabeth and Erica Francis, all of Salina.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Cremation will follow the service.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
