Mrs. James was born Nancy Scott on May 4, 1956, in Vineland, N.J. She was a housekeeper at Abilene Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bert D. Scott; and a brother, Barry Scott.

Survivors include a son, Tyler D. of Abilene; two daughters, Sarah S. James of Abilene and Tiffany Hahn of New Cambria; her mother, Thelma Scott. of Arizona; four brothers, Tom, Brian and Stacy Scott, all of Elmira, N.Y., and Clifford Fairchild of Rochester, N.Y.; six sisters, Elizabeth Fairchild and Lorraine Scott, both of Rochester, Pamela Johns of Georgia, Debra Martin of Salina, and Karen Graham and Amy Clifford, both of Arizona; and two grandchildren, Kyle Brown and Kaytlynn Hahn, both of New Cambria.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
