John A. Johnson, 80, Salina, died Saturday, April 16, 2005.

Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 28, 1925, in New Cambria. He was a master plumber for Day and Night Plumbing, Salina.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine E., of Salina; three sons, Gordon and wife Shirley and Roger and wife Denise, all of Wichita, and Jerry and wife Robin of Sumner, Wash.; three daughters, Mary Smith and husband Randy of Bartlesville, Okla., Darlene Barker and husband Jay of Piedmont, Okla., and Colleen Vance of Enid, Okla.; two brothers, Clifford and wife Betty of Salina and Ray of Wakefield; three sisters, Juanita Stevenson and Ann Nordboe and husband Ken, all of Salina, and Betty Waste of Minneapolis, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Southern Baptist Church, Salina. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the church building fund.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated. The family will greet visitors from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
