Mrs. Krig was born Alice N. Mattson on April 15, 1921, in Bridgeport. She was a teacher and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor “Gene,” in 1988; her parents, Alfred M. Mattson and the former Alice Nell Lofgren; her stepmother, Selma Mattson; and a brother, Kenneth Mattson.

Survivors include two sons, Larry and wife Suzi of Richardson, Texas, and Nathan and wife Patricia of Alexandria, La.; a daughter, Diane Krig Campbell of Dallas; five grandchildren, Holly Smith of Cumming, Ga., Katy Cleveland of Richmond, Texas, Heather Loyd of Titusville, Fla., Natalie Hurst of Winter Park, Fla., and Victoria Krig of Alexandria; and seven great-grandchildren, Madeline Smith, Emma Smith, Philip Jones, Aaron Jones, Loree Jones, Ashley Cleveland and Chelsey Cleveland.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Revs. Kent Happel and Steven Smith officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church or Presbyterian Manor.

Visitation will be an hour before the service at the church.
