Glenda Krug, 48, Salina, died Saturday, July 30, 2005. Mrs. Krug was born Glenda Hill on Sept. 17, 1956, in Ottawa. She was a RE/MAX Advantage Realtors broker and owner. She was a 1978 graduate of the University of Kansas, with a bachelor’s degree in education. She married Philip C. Krug on May 19, 1979, in Ottawa. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a member and current board member of the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Salina Country Club, the Salina Board of Realtors, and many national and state realtor boards. She was an active traveler and sportswoman. She hiked the Grand Canyon and ran a marathon. She received many real estate sales awards. Survivors include her husband, Phil, of the home; a son, Alex of New York City; a daughter, Katie Krug of Salina; her parents, Robert S. and Betty Hill, of Ottawa; two sisters, Kathryn Hill Bahner and husband Dave of St. Joseph, Mo., and Martha Ann Underwood and husband Doug of Eldon, Mo.; and two nieces, Kristin Allan and Jane Dubbs. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Salina, with the Rev. Tom Reid officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina, the church, Tammy Walker Cancer Center, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, or Child Abuse Prevention Services, all at Salina. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. |
